The Text Police Club by Dina Martin.
BETA READING PROGRAM
The author is currently working with Sierra Elementary to work on phase 1 of our goal, which is to get everyone excited to read and get engaged with the writing process. On Tuesday 12/2/2014, she talked to ninety 6th graders during their reading class about BETA reading and reviews . She read them a chapter from her current manuscript, draft title: Taze Sloan: ORION Exploration Flight Test-1 , and took their feedback, so she could make changes to the story.
Her talk also brought about the subject of space travel, and she got the kids excited about the REAL ORION. She reported that more than half the class woke up on 12/4 (scrubbed) & 12/ 5 at 5am to watch the historic launch of
ORION Exploration Flight Test-1
